The Knoxville Opera Guild (formerly East Tennessee Opera Guild) is a non-profit, volunteer organization created in 1992 to support Knoxville Opera Company and to provide a means of fellowship for opera lovers.
Through fund-raising and educational activities, the Guild makes opera accessible to an increasingly diverse audience and enhances the quality of life in our community.

Rossini Festival Italian Street Fair. Downtown Knoxville’s Gay Street is transformed from a busy thoroughfare to a colorful European festival with four stages featuring a range of entertainment options, an upscale Artisan’s Market, the smells and tastes of authentic Mediterranean foods and beverages, and a special children’s area on Market Square with entertainment, fun and games. Sunday May 16, 2010 - Noon Annual Croquet Tournament A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, playing croquet, partaking of refreshments and sharing camaraderie on the lawns of UT Visitors Center located at the intersection of Neyland Drive and Kingston Pike. Highlights of the day will include: * 11:00 a.m. - playing croquet on the greens until the winners are determined * Noon - 2:30 p.m. - feast on a Gourmet picnic in the tents on the green * 4 - 5:30 p.m. - enjoy Champagne High Tea with strawberries and cream * Bocce Ball will be available adding a Mediterranean flavor to the day If you would like further information on the game, phone Audrey Duncan at 865-588-8371.
